Goals: To analyze how authors use different means of persuasion to create arguments and counter-arguments
Opener: Take a look at your opener from 1/23. Remember that Logos is when you use using logic, common sense, and factual data to convince someone your point of view is the most logical. Pathos is when you try to stir up strong emotions in your audience, often with stories or images, to make them feel the way you want them to about your topic. Think about times you’ve tried to convince someone of something. Discuss and describe a time you used either logos or pathos to convince someone of something. If have time, talk about both or give multiple examples!
