Goals: a. To assess the conflicts that Macbeth faces in Act 1 b. To use pre-reading goals to improve critical viewing and reading skills
Opener: Please have your books out during the opener. Read over the study guide and your notes for Act 1.5-1.6, and write out the three biggest questions you have that you will be trying to get answers to as you watch. The questions don’t have to be study guide questions, and they should be in your own words. DON’T write “I want the answers to numbers . . .” Instead, think about what you still need to know about what happens in these scenes, and summarize the most important parts. You will be keeping this opener and handing it in at the end of class.
