Goals: To assess how different media, selection of detail, and authorial bias influences our perceptions of history (ongoing)
Opener: Compare and contrast the ways Maus and Night prepare the reader to learn about the holocaust: think about the sections of the books before the camps, and the kinds of details in them. What kinds of different points of view and biases might this reveal about the two different authors when it comes to the holocaust? What about the two different author’s lives might account for the differences?
