Goals: To use annotate and a two-step reading process to find deeper meaning and connections within a text
Opener: Choose one of your annotations from your homework. Re-read the note and the section of the text that it refers to. For your opener, DEVELOP the note by describing what the note is about and why it is important. Be sure to explain what the CONTEXT of the quote is in the text. If you have time, practice your essay-writing skills by embedding the quote, using academic language.

a. We started our second reading of chapter 7, annotating using the cards and notes. (Remember, your first reading is at home)
1. Please view the “Quote bombs” video on the front page of the website.
2. Read and complete the study guide for chapters 7-8 by Thursday. Remember that you are reading for PLOT so that you can do the annotations on a second reading.
3. The chapters 1-8 quiz will be next Monday.
