Goals: To use annotation and a two-step reading process to find deeper meaning and connections within a text
Opener: Choose another one of your annotations from chapters 16, 17, (or 18), and turn it into a well-written paragraph in which you talk about why this quote or section of the book is important to the book overall.
Handouts in Class: none
Terms and Vocabulary: none
Work Assigned and Collected:
a. We listened to and annotated the first half of chapter 19. For those of you that had to leave early, we read through the end of page 180 in class.
1. Re-read and finish your annotations for chapters 17-20 by Friday. I will be checking all chapters 17-20 notes on Friday in class. You should have three of each kind, except for point of view (where you may have only one). Remember that the WWWWWH notes for these chapters have ALREADY been assigned (and so should be finished by now).
