Goals: To use annotate and a two-step reading process to find deeper meaning and connections within a text
Opener: Choose one of your annotations from your homework. Re-read the note and the section of the text that it refers to. For your opener, DEVELOP the note by describing what the note is about and why it is important. Be sure to explain what the CONTEXT of the quote is in the text. If you have time, practice your essay-writing skills by embedding the quote, using academic language.
