Goals: To use reader's theater to analyze the personalities and motivations of the characters
Opener: Write about something beautiful you have seen or heard lately. Use concrete details, varied sentences, and imagery to allow the reader to experience the beauty. As you write, think about what your details reveal about the character of your speaker. (How does this piece of writing reveal your speaker? What “version” of you comes across on the page?) You don’t need to answer these last questions, just think about them as you write and try to make purposeful decisions about your character.
