Opener (extended): Do this opener on binder paper, and title it with the usual info (full name, date, and period) as well as a descriptive title. Please do not take more than one piece of binder paper. What are some ways you individually (or us as a group) can help ourselves get back into the rhythms of academic life? Warm back up to using academic vocabulary and writing skills by writing a mini-essay that tackles this question. Try to work on first establishing a distinct CLAIM, then developing it with alternating SUPPORT and EXPLANATION.
